Inside the Power Plant - The generators in the background were hooked directly to the steam engines. When the big flywheel on the steam engine turned a small pulley on the generator, as is done by the set-up in the foreground, the noise seemed to sing put all over the area. Among the engineers at Electric were Dave Evans, Henry Rockinger, Frank Rife, Ed Brooks, and Cummins. |
