Description Bunker, Tipple and Flume, then - The large storage space of the bunker evened the work at the washer and coke ovens, for here the production was stored until it could be processed through the washer in the operation from mine to shipment. Atop the bunker are the extra buckets of the aerial tram. The flume, bringing in water for the washer, is to the lower left. - Ald. - p. 36

Coal came to this tipple and bunker from several mines right in town and from the Foster Mine 2 miles behind Aldridge. The flume brought coal a half-mile from the No.4 Mine. From here it went through the washer. - P.V. p.30
